๐ What is a Picture Spacing Calculator?
A Picture Spacing Calculator helps you figure out:

It does all the math for you, so you get even, beautiful spacing without the guesswork! ๐ฏ
๐ What You Need to Use the Calculator
Before you start, just grab:
- Wall width (in inches, centimeters, or meters)
- Number of pictures you want to hang
- Width of each picture (frames included)
- Desired space between pictures (optional, if you already have an idea)

๐ฅ How to Calculate Picture Spacing (Example)
Let’s say you have:
- A wall that is 120 inches wide
- 4 pictures you want to hang
- Each picture is 18 inches wide
- You don’t specify a gap โ you want it automatically calculated.
Hereโs how the spacing works:
- Total width of pictures = 4 ร 18 = 72 inches
- Remaining space = 120 – 72 = 48 inches
- Divide by 5 gaps (one on each side and between pictures):
48 รท 5 = 9.6 inches
โ Result: You should leave about 9.6 inches between each picture and at the ends for a perfectly centered layout!
๐ก Example Setups
Small Wall Example (7 ft wide):
- 3 small pictures, each 12 inches wide
- 2.5 inches between pictures

- 4 medium pictures, each 16 inches wide
- 4 inches between pictures
- 5 inches margin at each end
Large Wall Example (14 ft wide):
- 5 large frames, each 24 inches wide
- 5 inches between pictures
- 7 inches margins on both sides
