Logitech Z623 Left Speaker is Not Working

Problem

Left speaker isn’t working even though it is connected. Turning the volume knob to minimum and maximum only produces a static buzzing noise.

None of these steps helped the situation:

  • Restarting the speakers by powering them down or unplugging from the power source and plugging back in
  • Changing the inputs
  • Updating the drivers

Solution

Unplug your left speaker from the back of the subwoofer and wiggle the jack for the left speaker input. Now plug the speaker back in to see if this fix worked for you.

Users have reported issues with the speaker connector jack and a more permanent solution is to examine the internal connector for damage.

Z623 Both Speakers Stopped Working

Problem

Both satellite speakers of Logitech Z623 stopped working suddenly. One moment they were working fine, and the other, both stopped working. Updating the AMD drivers (speakers were connected to the PC) didn’t help either.

Headphones, when connected to the side of the right speaker, work fine. But there is zero sound out of the speakers.

Solution

Many times, speakers will stop working due to dust in the potentiometer. Remove the volume and bass knob covers on the right speaker. Put a drop or two of grease on the knobs and rotate them so the grease goes inside.

Another solution is to insert the AUX cord from your PC into the port on the right speaker and keep twisting it unless you get sound from both speakers. Clearly a hack, this action moves things around internal to the speaker and either breaks a short or makes a critical connection.

Logitech Z623 Subwoofer Not Working

Problem

Sometimes the Logitech subwoofer stops working. As above there are many hacks that users have employed to get things working again. For instance this user inserted the right speaker cable into the sub. However these fixes are usually temporary and the internal electronics finally breaks down – it always does!

Solution

Check the subwoofer power plug for any damage. The unfortunate part about power plugs and cables is that they are internally connected to the subwoofer and as a result they cannot be easily replaced (unlike in a PC for instance).

If the system is under warranty the easiest thing to do it to contact technical support at Logitech.

If your warranty has expired and you’re feeling a little adventurous check out the video below that shows how to take the Z623 apart.

Z623 No Power or Loose Power Button

Problem

There is no power in the speakers indicated by no light when the speakers are turned on. On connecting the headphones to the speaker, there is a noise, no matter if the speakers are on or off.

Solution

You might need to disassemble the right speaker to see if it has a blown fuse or a faulty power delivery module. These are the most likely reasons. Try replacing the fuse first. If it doesn’t work, go for a power delivery module replacement.

Below is a video that will help you disassemble the speakers and clean the collected dust inside the speakers on the on/off button and knobs. You can use a lubricator or electric device cleaner for this purpose.

Z623 Not Working With Windows 10

Problem

Logitech Z623 subwoofer works fine with the TV and connected phone but doesn’t respond when connected to a Windows 10 PC.

Solution

  • Right-click on the speaker’s icon in the taskbar and click on Sound.
  • Go to the Playback tab and right-click on Speakers.
  • Select Properties and go to the Advanced tab.
  • Under the Signal Enhancement section, un-check the Enable Audio Enhancement.

Conclusion

Remember, when faced with technical issues, it’s essential to start with simple troubleshooting steps before jumping to more complicated solutions. By following the tips provided, you may be able to resolve the problem on your own.

However, if the issues persist, don’t hesitate to seek assistance from authorized service centers or Logitech customer support. Especially if it’s under warranty.
