Fluke T6 1000 Vs. Fluke T6 1000 Pro

Fluke T6-1000 PRO Electrical Tester

T6 1000 Vs. T6 1000 Pro: The Key Differences

  • Visual Continuity: T6 1000 Pro offers visual continuity feature which is absent in T6 1000. This feature causes the multimeter’s screen to turn green along with the beep in the presence of continuity. This feature becomes useful if the user has to work in a noisy environment, wears ear protection or has low light working conditions.
  • Accessories: T6 1000 Pro comes with accessories like alligator clip and H-T6 holster. The alligator clip can speed up the testing process by securely attaching to the points without needing to hold the probes manually. With the H-T6 holster, carrying the multimeter around becomes easy. Also the multimeter gets protected from drops and general wear and tear.

Fluke T6-1000 PRO Electrical Tester

Unlike other testers that work by interpreting magnetic fields to show AC current,  T6 1000 and T6 1000 Pro use FieldSense technology.

This technology is unique because it detects an electrical field that interacts with the signal produced by the tester. It then shows the voltage and current values on the screen. Test leads are not required to measure AC voltage and current.

Conclusion

The Field Sense technology used in both T6 1000 and T6 1000 Pro makes these multimeters a perfect choice for residential and industrial electrical tasks. This is because Field Sense technology allows simultaneous voltage and current measurement without having to probe live circuits directly.

If you are working in a noisy environment or at a place where you require frequent movement carrying your multimeter around, we recommend going with the T6 1000 Pro.
