Frameo Error Authenticating [SOLVED]

The Frameo digital photo frame connects to the internet primarily through Wi-Fi. This connection allows it to receive photos and videos sent from friends and family globally via the Frameo app.

To establish this connection, users must select their Wi-Fi network from the frame’s settings menu and enter the appropriate WiFi password.

The message “Error authenticating: incorrect password for the Wi-Fi” appears if the entered password is wrong.

Here are troubleshooting steps on how to solve this problem:

Connect to the Right Wi-Fi Network

It is not uncommon for there to be many Wi-Fi access points in any given location. Make sure that you are trying to connect to your home network (and not someone else’s).

Enter Wi Fi Password

To ensure that the frame registers the characters correctly while typing the password, you can press the ‘eye’ icon next to the password field.

This will make the password visible while typing and allows you to double check that the password is entered 100% correctly.

Restart the Frame

This next simple step is often overlooked.

👉 Restart the frame

This will ensure that it has the best possible conditions for connecting to your Wi-Fi.

Once connected, the frame can automatically receive new content that is shared with it and download any available software updates to enhance its functionality.
